Meet Alon AI

Alon AI is SurfTrip.ph's surf forecasting system, built in partnership with Code Mavericks. It processes swell models, wind data, and tide patterns to generate daily surf forecasts for spots across the Philippines.

The name comes from the Filipino word alon â wave.

What it forecasts

Each daily forecast includes wave height, swell direction, swell period, wind speed, wind direction, and tide data across a 7-day window.

Alon AI currently generates forecasts for:

Baler, Aurora
San Juan, La Union
Pundaquit, Zambales
Crystal Beach
Guiuan, Eastern Samar

We're working on expanding coverage as the platform grows.

How often it updates

Forecasts are generated once daily. Tide data updates every 5 days. Sunrise and moonrise data updates every 5 days.

Alon AI is an AI-powered system and forecasts should be treated as a guide, not a guarantee. Ocean conditions are inherently unpredictable. Always check local conditions, surf within your ability level, and respect the ocean.
