Spot overview

  Guiuan is located in the province of Eastern Samar. A province known for beautiful caves and majestic rivers. Linao cave is one of those beautiful caves which is located at Calicoan island. A part of Guiuan's municipality. What's not known to many though is the beatiful long rides to be had in Calicoan island. The spot is known to many as ABCD beach. The reef break produces consistent quality waves on south swell season. Better to check the forecast before heading there on North swell season though.

Getting to Guiuan

   Coming from Manila, there are a couple of good ways to get there. My favorite is method 2 since you get to stop at any spots you like and take photos.
Method #1 Plane -> Van
  1. Fly from Manila to Tacloban
  2. Trike from Tacloban Airport to VanVan Tours or Duptours Terminal
  3. Terminal to Guiuan town proper
  4. Take a Trike to ABCD Beach
Method #2 Plane -> Rent a Car
  1. Rent a car before flying and have them deliver the car to Airport
  2. Fly Manila to Tacloban
  3. Drive South East and enjoy the view!
